State Auditor Claire McCaskill has called a news conference for this afternoon - in Houston, Missouri - to announce plans for her political future. And, the speculation is she'll announce a run for the U.S. Senate seat held by Jim Talent. State Senator Chuck Graham of Columbia, who had been mentioned as a possible candidate for the Democrats against Talent, sings the praises of McCaskill, saying she would be a fine candidate to take on the Republican incumbent. McCaskill, who was re-elected State Auditor in 2002.
